Hey Everybody,

 The eikon planning process just keeps getting better. We just purchased our web cams for the theater so people from all over can watch and also send in their questions! We will have all our lighting guys trained this week (Rich tells me it’s pretty elaborate) so that they can know all the high tech tricks on the lighting system. We are in the process of ordering our flat screen for the stage and the high def projector is nothing short of …tight (Bostonian term for sweet). What else??…. oh our younity project t-shirts are being printed in the next few days for the camp. If your not familiar with the younity project check out blog at www.younityproject.wordpress.com and help us fight HIV/AIDS. Well that is it for now but keep checking in with us and stay tuned for more details.

Great stuff! I just got word from Pastor Bob and he is excited to be teaching eikon’s first series titled “Epilogue”. Epilogue will be a 12 week teaching series based on a shorter message that will focus on one main thought. The format will be unlike any type of church services we’ve done in the past. It will be an interactive opportunity for your questions and thoughts from the message to be heard via text messaging! Now, instead of wondering how Pastor Bob feels or what he thinks about certain issues, you will be able to know first hand. Please remember that eikon is a post college ministry for single adults ages 22-33. Keep checking back with us for more details. 

Since it’s my lunch break I thought I’d email you all and bring you up to date with our progress. We had our first major production meeting yesterday and it was pretty sweet!! We discussed everything from camera angles to live video feed for video and audio podcasts. We also brought Ryan Alexander into the mix to get his perspective on worship and stage design. He’s pretty good!! He also loves tacos!!! All that to say that we are excited that eikon is only 5 weeks away from launching and we would really appreciate all your prayers because there is still a lot to do!!!   Eikon is a post college ministry dedicated to single adults ages 22-33.  It is an environment where single adults can experience true community, passionate worship and biblical teaching. Starting May 7th eikon will meet every Wednesday evening at 8:30pm at our Fort Lauderdale campus in the new Performing Arts Theatre.
